Please Note

Due to the handmade nature, this leather is subject to changes in color, sometimes it can be lighter / darker than in the picture as each hide reacts to the dyeing process differently. This leather comes from the upper part of the cowhide, where the hide is the strongest, with all natural markings and imperfections preserved. This leather is of high quality, as it ages it develops a patina turning your particular piece to a one of a kind item with unique pattern and vintage look.

 
  • On the back of the mat you will see a grainy leather hide backside. Because of the granular structure, the back of the table mat lays firmly on the surface, preventing slipping. Usually our customers love that texture!
  • We ship table mats in rolls. With time the leather will flatten under its weight. Don't worry if it's not absolutely flat immediately after unpacking. You should know that shipping it flat is MUCH more expensive.

 

 

If you plan to purchase a set of table mat and a mouse pad it is better to do it in one order. This way we will use one hide to produce your items and they will be similar in color. Otherwise, the shade of items may vary slightly.

Beautiful Desk Pad

I got the large size, dark brown, “Chestnut” desk pad. It is exactly as good as the pictures on the website showed. The leather is decently thick and luxurious (although not as thick as the ‘chocolate’ mouse pad shows), the stitching around the edges adds additional class. I can only imagine the patina that will show as the leather ages with wear and use. It’s only been rolled out for 24 hours and none of the edges are raised or rolled up. I am really taken with how beautiful this is, especially considering how large of a chunk of leather it is and I’m so happy that the top of my 100+ year old desk is protected from me! There was a small problem with my order which Julia sorted out immediately (on a Saturday evening, no less). Thank you.
