Full Grain Cow Leather

Chromexel leather used for this journal is produced in US at Horween Tannery. This leather type is full grain with aniline finish - the most natural looking and durable leather money can buy. Full grain is used to define a leather piece produced from the upper part of the hide where fibers are dense and strong.
 
In the process of production this leather is not sanded and keeps all of the grain, hence the name of it. Due to this fact leather displays natural marks and imperfections of the animal skin - scars, stretches and wounds from insect bites. Color variation and natural marks are inherent in the leather and are considered to be a part of the pure beauty of the material.
